1.1 This standard specifies the manufacture, setting location of fire protection associated safety sign and designation plate. 1.2 Its field of application extends, as widely as possible, to all situations in which it is necessary, or desirable, to indicate publicly the location and/or the nature of
a. Means of giving warning of fire and manual controls;
b. Means of escape from fire;
c. Means of fire-fighting;
d. Areas or materials of special fire risk.
This standard is not applicable to the design drawing or the graphic symbols on the drawing which are covered by GB 4327-84 "Fire Fighting Graphical Symbols for Fire Equipment".
