3.2
vehicles for the carriage of dangerous goods
collective terms for dangerous goods transport freight cars and semi-trailers and semi-trailer trains designed and manufactured for transporting dangerous goods
3.2.1
motor vehicles for the carriage of dangerous goods
design and manufacture of motor vehicles for carrying dangerous goods or towing semi-trailers for transporting dangerous goods
3.2.2
atmospheric tank vehicle for the carriage of dangerous goods
vehicles that use a tank to hold dangerous goods. During normal transportation, the working pressure of the tank is less than 0.1 MPa (gauge pressure), and the tank is permanently connected to the shaped automobile chassis or traveling mechanism
3.2.3
pressure tank vehicle for the carriage of dangerous goods
vehicles that use a mobile pressure vessel to hold dangerous goods, and the mobile pressure vessel is permanently connected to the stereotyped automobile chassis or traveling mechanism
4 Type of vehicle
Dangerous goods transport vehicles are classified as EX/II-type, EX/III-type, FL-type, AT-type and CT-type.
——EX/II-type, EX/III-type vehicle: A dangerous goods transport vehicle used to transport Class 1 explosives in GB 6944-2025 and whose stowage limit meets the requirements of Annex A.
——FL-type vehicles: used for transporting flammable gases, liquids with a flash point not higher than 60°C, vehicle diesel that complies with the requirements of GB 19147 or oils listed in UN number UN 1202, and stable hydrogen peroxide or its aqueous solution (mass fraction greater than 60%) dangerous goods transport vehicles, whose cargo container has a volume greater than or equal to 1m3 Tank-type vehicle tank body, volume greater than or equal to 3m3Tank containers or removable tank cabinets.
——AT-type vehicle: a dangerous goods transport vehicle with the same cargo container as FL-type vehicle and different goods transported from FL-type vehicle.
——CT-type vehicles: not belonging to EX/II-type, EX/III-type FL-type and AT-type dangerous goods transport vehicles.
5 General safety requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
5.1.1 The outer dimensions, axle load and quality parameters of dangerous goods transport vehicles shall comply with the provisions of GB 1589.
5.1.2 The approved number of passengers in dangerous goods transport trucks should be less than or equal to 3, and no passenger seats should be set outside the cab.
5.1.3 When the cargo device of a dangerous goods transport vehicle is a closed cargo compartment, the rainproof sealing, strength and stiffness of the cargo compartment should comply with the provisions of GB 29753. Cargo fixing and fastening devices shall be installed in the cargo compartment.
5.1.4 Dangerous goods transport vehicles should be equipped with radial tires, and retreaded tires should not be used.
5.1.5 For N2-class and N3-class trucks transporting dangerous goods, all steering wheels should be equipped with emergency safety devices for tire puncture that comply with GB/T 38796.
5.1.6 For dangerous goods transport semi-trailer tractors and dangerous goods transport trucks with a total mass greater than or equal to 12,000 kg, wheels equipped with single tires should be equipped with tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) or devices with tire pressure monitoring functions.
