Cabinets for Low-voltage Switchgear — Part 3: Environment and Climate
1 Scope
This part specifies the normal use, installation and transportation conditions and climate classification of cabinets for low-voltage switchgear.
This part is applicable to cabinet products for low-voltage switchgear (hereinafter referred to as “products”).

For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this part. However, parties to agreements based on this part are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. 3 Normal Use, Installation, Transportation and Storage Conditions
3.1 Conditions of normal use
3.1.1 General requirements
Products that meet the requirements of GB/T 22764.4 shall be able to operate under the following conditions.
Non-standard conditions of use may be determined by agreement between the manufacturer and the user, provided that these agreements are not contrary to GB/T 22764.4.
3.1.2 Ambient air temperature
The upper limit of ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C and the average temperature in 24h shall not exceed +35°C.
The lower limit of ambient air temperature shall not be lower than -5°C.
Note: For use in ambient air temperatures above +40°C (e.g. in forging shops, boiler rooms, tropical areas) or below -5°C (e.g. -25°C), it shall be designed and used in accordance with the relevant product standards (where applicable) or in accordance with the agreement between the manufacturer and the user. Information provided by the manufacturer (e.g. samples) may substitute for the above agreement.
3.1.3 Altitude
The altitude of installation site shall not exceed 2,000m.
Note: Air cooling shall be taken into account for products used above 2 000 m. Products used in the above ambient conditions shall be designed and used in accordance with the agreement between the manufacturer and the user.
