1 Scope
This document describes a test method for the determination of colour fastness to rubbing of fur.
This document is applicable to the determination of colour fastness to rubbing of dyeing fur.

4 Principle
Under specified conditions, the hair side of the dyeing fur is rubbed in the direction of the hair with a white cotton cloth (dry or wet), and then, the degree of staining of the white cotton cloth is assessed against a grey scale for assessing staining.
5 Apparatus and materials
5.1 Test apparatus for colour fastness to rubbing: The rubbing head shall consist of a cylindrical body with a diameter of (30.0±0.2)mm. A downward force of (14.0±0.2)N shall be applied. The rubbing head may perform linear directional movement of (150±5)mm along the direction of the hair on the test specimen, at a reciprocating speed of 26 cycles per minute.
5.2 White cotton cloth (rubbing cloth): Conforming to the requirements of GB/T 7568.2, cut into square pieces of approximately 80mm×80mm, suitable for use with the rubbing head specified in 5.1.
