3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 341 and the following apply.
3.1
nominal diameter
nominal diameter in millimeters, with which the inspection and acceptance of various technical indicators are carried out
3.2
actual diameter
arithmetic mean of two measurements taken in mutually perpendicular directions on the same cross-section of the steel wire
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Raw materials
The wire rods for steel wires shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 4354, and the grade shall be selected by the manufacturer; after mutual consultation between the supplier and the purchaser and as specified in the contract, wire rods of other steel classes and grades may also be selected.
4.2 Diameter and permissible deviation
The nominal diameter and permissible deviation of steel wire shall be as specified in Table 1.
Table 1 Permissible deviation of diameter
4.3 Out-of-roundness
The out-of-roundness of steel wire shall not be larger than half of the nominal diameter tolerance.
4.4 Shape
The steel wire can be delivered by coil or spool packaging method. The spool shall be wrapped tightly and flat, and the coil shall not be loose, and it shall not be in a "∞" shape when opened.
