1 Scope
This document specifies the types, basic parameters and technical requirements for industrial and mining diesel locomotives, describes the corresponding test methods, and specifies the inspection rules, marking, accompanying documents, transportation and storage.
This document is applicable to the manufacture of standard-gauge and narrow-gauge industrial and mining diesel locomotives.
This document is not applicable to industrial and mining diesel locomotives used in explosive gas atmospheres or explosive dust atmospheres.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 3367 (all parts), as well as the following, apply.
3.1
industrial and mining diesel locomotive
A diesel locomotive used for transportation in factories and mines.

3.2
hybrid diesel locomotive
A locomotive that uses an internal combustion engine as the power source combined with other power sources (such as power batteries).
3.3
power battery system
A complete energy storage device consisting of one or more power battery units connected in series and/or parallel, providing energy for the locomotive traction system.
4 Types
Industrial and mining diesel locomotives (hereinafter referred to as "locomotives") are classified by operating site into:
a) Surface locomotives;
b) Underground mining locomotives.
5 Basic parameters
5.1 The basic parameters for surface locomotives should preferably be selected from the values specified in Table 1.
5.2 The basic parameters for underground mining locomotives should preferably be selected from the values specified in Table 2.
6 Technical requirements
6.1 Environmental operating conditions
6.1.1 The environmental operating conditions for locomotives are as follows:
a) Ambient temperature: −25 °C to 40 °C;
b) Electrical equipment shall be capable of normal operation when the relative humidity does not exceed 50 % at a maximum temperature of 40 °C. Higher relative humidity may be permitted at lower temperatures, e.g., 90 % at 20 °C;
c) Wind speed shall not exceed 12.5 m/s;
d) Altitude shall not exceed 700 m.
Note: When the operating environmental conditions exceed the above ranges, they shall be determined by agreement between the user and the manufacturer.
6.1.2 Track conditions
a) Track gauges: 600 mm, 762 mm, 900 mm, 1000 mm, 1435 mm;
b) Track conditions shall comply with TB 10098.
6.2 Basic requirements
6.2.1 Locomotives should preferably be equipped with jacking supports, lifting devices for the complete locomotive, and connection devices between the body and the bogies. During lifting, the components and connectors (except dampers) of the locomotive shall not have obvious deformation, and the locomotive body shall not have permanent deformation after lifting.
6.2.2 For locomotives with an installed power of more than 441 kW, the vibration performance of equipment inside the locomotive shall comply with GB/T 21563.
6.2.3 Oil pipelines, water pipelines and various tanks on the locomotive shall be free from oil leakage and water leakage.

3 Terms and definitions
