GB 21455-2013 Minimum allowable values of the energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for variable speed room air conditioners (English Version)
1 Scope
This standard specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation, energy efficiency grades, test methods and inspection rules of variable speed room air conditioners.
This standard is applicable to the variable speed room air conditioner which is equipped with air cooling condenser or fully-enclosed variable speed motor compressor, and the cooling capacity of less than 14000W and the climatic type of T1.
Note: the variable speed room air conditioner includes AC frequency conversion, DC speed regulation or other modes of changing the compressor speed.
This standard is not applicable to movable air conditioner, multi-connected air-condition unit or duct type air conditioner.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, terms and definitions defined in GB/T 7725 and GB/T 17758 as well as those listed below apply.
3.1
Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency
The minimum allowable value of annual performance factor (APF) while conducting refrigeration and heating operation under specified working conditions. Thereinto, the annual performance factor is calculated according to occurrence time of each temperature for operation need in Appendix A. For single-cold product, only the refrigeration seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) is assessed.
