This standard was proposed by the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the Department of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection of the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
This standard was firstly issued in April, 2012 and is revised for the first time.
Minimum allowable values of water efficiency and water efficiency grades for urinals
1 Scope
This standard specifies the water efficiency grades, technical requirements and test methods for urinals.
This standard is applicable to the evaluation on water efficiency of urinals (excluding waterless urinals) installed on cold water supply piping in building facilities and used under the static water supply pressure of 0.6 MPa.

GB/T 9195 Classification and terms of building and sanitary ceramics
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 9195 and the following apply.
3.1
average water consumption of urinals
water consumption for urinal measured and calculated according to the test method and calculation equation specified in this standard
3.2
minimum allowable values of water efficiency for urinals
the maximum allowable water consumption of the urinals under the test conditions specified in this standard
3.3
evaluating values of water conservation for urinals
the maximum allowable water consumption of water-conservation urinals under the test conditions specified in this standard
Note: The evaluating values of water conservation is a requirement for evaluating the water-conservation urinals.
4 Water efficiency grade for urinal
Water efficiency for urinals is classified into 3 grades, with Grade 3 representing the lowest one. The average water consumption of various grades of urinals shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 1.
Table 1 Index of water efficiency grade for urinal In L
Water efficiency grade for urinal Grade 1 Grade 2 Grade 3
Average water consumption of urinals ≤0.5 ≤1.5 ≤2.5
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
The urinal shall meet the requirements of the standard prescribed expressly and shall be matched with the corresponding flushing device.
5.2 Flushing function requirements
5.2.1 Washing function
Conduct washing function test in accordance with Annex A. The total length of accumulated residual ink lines after each flushing is not greater than 25 mm, and the length of each segment of residual black marker lines is not greater than 13 mm.
5.2.2 Sewage replacement function
Conduct sewage replacement test in accordance with Annex A. Dilution rate of urinal with integral trap shall not be less than 100.
5.2.3 Water seal depth
Conduct test on water seal depth. The water seal depth of urinals with integral trap shall not be less than 50mm.
5.2.4 Water seal recovery
Conduct test on water seal recovery. The water seal recovery of urinals with integral trap shall not be less than 50mm. Siphon urinals shall be siphoned each time.
5.2.5 Minimum diameter of trap
Conduct test on water seal recovery. The water seal recovery of urinals with integral trap shall not be less than 23 mm.
5.3 Minimum allowable values of water efficiency for urinals
The minimum allowable value of water efficiency grade for urinals is Grade 3.
5.4 Evaluating values of water conservation for urinals
