1 Scope
This standard specifies the detergent detergency evaluation by detergency test with artificial test cloths and detergent anti-soil-redeposition property evaluation by comparing cycle washing with unsoiled cotton cloth.
This standard is applicable to the detergency and anti-soil-redeposition property evaluation for laundry detergents such as powder, liquid and paste products.

3.1 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1.1
Test cloths
They refer to the artificially-soiled cloth pieces, made of white cloths with specified types of stain through certain treatment procedures, used to determine the detergency of detergent. The types of test cloths are determined by the types of stains.
3.1.2
Pieces of test cloths
They refer to blocks of test cloths, cut into 6cm*6cm or 8cm*8cm as required, used in the detergency test.
