1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification and technical requirements, calculation method and requirements of property indexes of city gas, and test gas of civil gas burning appliances.
This standard is applicable to classification of various gases used as city fuel.

For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

city gas; town gas
publicly-used gas which meets the quality requirements of gas in standards and is used as fuel supplied for residents' living, commercial (public buildings) and industrial enterprise production, generally including natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and manufactured gas.

Wobbe number; Wobbe index
ratio of the heat value of gas and the square root of relative density of gas
