1 Scope This part specifies requirements for rechargeable energy storage system (REESS) of voltage class B propulsion circuit system of electrically propelled road vehicles for the protection of persons inside and outside the vehicle and the vehicle environment. This part is applicable to electrically propelled road vehicles whose maximum working voltage of on-board propulsion system is voltageclass B. Electric motorcycles and electric mopeds may also refer to the provisions of this standard. This part does is not applicable tovehicles not primarily intended as road vehicles, such as material handling trucks and forklifts. This part does not provide comprehensive safety information for manufacturing, maintenance and repair personnel of electrically propelled road vehicles.This part excludes mechanical and electrical flywheel(vehicles). 2 Normative References The following documents for the application of this document are essential.
