GB/T 19867.1-2005 Welding procedure specification for arc welding
1 Scope
This part specifies requirements for the content of welding procedure specifications for arc welding processes. The variables listed in this standard are those influencing the quality of the welded joint.
This part is applicable to arc welding of metal materials.
2 Normative references
The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB/T 19867, constitute provisions of this part. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply.However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest editions apply to this part.
GB/T 3375 Welding terminology
GB/T 5185 Welding and allied processes - Nomenclature of processes and reference numbers
GB/T 16672-1996 Welds-Working positions-Definitions of angles of slope and rotation
GB/T 18591-2001 Welding - Guidance on the measurement of preheating temperature, interpass temperature and preheat maintenance temperature

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 3375 and GB/T 19866.
4 Technical content of welding procedure specification (WPS)
4.1 General
The Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) should include necessary information for performing welding operations. The content of general welding process specifications can be found in sections 4.2 - 4.5. For specific applications, adjustments can be made according to the actual situation.
An example of WPS format is given in Annex A.
4.2 Related to the manufacturer
——Identification of the manufacturer;
——Identification of the WPS;
——Reference to the Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) or other documents as required.
4.3 Related to the parent material
4.3.1 Parent material type
——Designation of the material(s), and reference standard(s);
——Material category group.
4.3.2 Material dimensions
——Thickness ranges of the joint;
——Outside diameter ranges for pipes.
4.4 Common to all welding procedures
