1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions for fiber optic elements for image transmission, gives the classification, specifies the effective diameter and quality zone, requirements, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to fiber optic elements for image transmission used in optoelectronic devices such as image intensifiers, image converters, intensified charge-coupled devices (ICCD) or complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS).

b) Fiber optic inverters (hereinafter referred to as inverters);
c) Fiber optic tapers (hereinafter referred to as FOT).
