Methods of measuring and evaluating vibration of pumps 1 Scope This standard specifies the vibration measurement on the surface of non-rotating parts of pumps, measuring instruments and evaluating vibration of pumps. This standard is applicable to various types of pumps with rotating speed of 600 r/min~12000 r/min (pumps with speed less than 600 r/min can refer to it), and pump units with coaxial pump and motor (or pump shaft and motor shaft connected by rigid coupling). This standard does not apply to submersible pumps, reciprocating positive displacement pumps and internal-combustion engine driven pump units. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. But now displacement, acceleration and other measurements are used more frequently.
