Codeofchina.com is in charge of this English translation. In case of any doubt about the English translation, the Chinese original shall be considered authoritative. This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 5242-2006 Check rules and test methods of cemented carbide products. The following main changes have been made with respect to GB/T 5242-2006 (the previous edition): -Normative references are enriched with new ones; -The inspection items are updated, with the items like cobalt magnetization, chemical composition, thermal diffusivity, elastic modulus and drop test (or hammering test) added and the item cross-section microstructure deleted; -Clause 3 “Terms and definitions” is deleted; -The 4.1.2 “Inspection classification” and 4.4 “Judgment of inspection result” are deleted; -Clause 5 “Acceptance” is deleted; -Annex A (normative) is added. This standard was proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. This standard is under the jurisdiction of SAC/TC 243 National Technical Committee on Nonferrous Metals of Standardization Administration of China. The previous editions of the standard replaced by this standard are as follows: ——GB/T 5242-1985 and GB/T 5242-2006. Inspection rules and test methods of cemented carbide products 1 Scope This standard specifies the inspection items, batching rules, sampling rules and test methods for the inspection of cemented carbide products. This standard is applicable to the inspection and test for chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties, microstructure, geometric dimension and appearance quality of sintered cemented carbide products. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document (including any amendments) applies.
