The following main changes have been made with respect to GJB 2053-1994 (the previous edition): ——The part regarding surface sheet is deleted; ——Several alloys are added, namely 2B06, 2D12, 7B04, 2024, 5083, 5086 and 7075; ——The two statuses, i.e. T73 and T74, are added. This specification was proposed by the former Military Supporting Office of the State Economic and Trade Commission of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Standards and Metrology Quality Research Institute of China Nonferrous Metals Industry. This specification was issued on September 1994 for the first time. Specification for aluminum alloy structural sheet for aerospace 1 Scope This specification specifies the requirements, quality assurance provision and delivery preparation of aluminum alloy structural sheet for aerospace. This specification is applicable to aluminum alloy structural sheet for aerospace (hereinafter referred to as sheet). 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For 2A12, 2024 and 7075 alloys, the type of aluminum clad shall be indicated in the contract when ordering, otherwise, the type of aluminum clad shall be considered as normal aluminum clad.
