1 Scope
This standard specifies the thermal stability test method of steam turbine main shafts and rotor forgings.
This standard is applicable to the thermal stability test of steam turbine main shafts and rotor forgings to ensure the stable operation of steam turbine main shafts and rotor forgings under operation temperature.
2 Order Requirements
2.1 If the thermal stability test is required by the demander, the minimum temperature of thermal stability test shall be specified on the order drawing and the test position, the required quantity of test tapes as well as the section of heating chamber where the forging shall be placed shall be indicated on the forging drawing.
2.2 The thermal stability test shall be carried out by the supplier after final heat treatment. In case the condition of supplier does not allow, the test may also be carried out by the demander.
