1.0.1 This Specification was formulated for the purpose of achieving safety and usability, advanced technology, economic rationality and guaranteed quality of the rebar mechanical splicing used in the concrete structure engineering.
1.0.2 This Specification is applicable to the design, application and acceptance of mechanical splices of various steel reinforcing bars (hereinafter referred to as "splice") used in buildings and general structures.
1.0.3 The steel reinforcing bars used for mechanical splicing shall comply with those specified in the current national standard "Steel for the Reinforcement of Concrete-Part 2: Hot-rolled Ribbed Bars" (GB 1499.2)
1.0.4 In addition to this Specification, the rebar mechanical splicing still shall be in accordance with those specified in the current relevant standards of the Nation.
