Caustic burned magnesia for magnesium oxychloride cement products
1 Scope
This standard specifies the grading, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of the caustic burned magnesia for magnesium oxychloride cement products.
This standard is applicable to caustic burned magnesia made from magnesite (MgCO3) by calcination and grinding for oxychloride cement products.
2 Normative references
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies.

YB/T 5206-1993 Caustic burned magnesia
3 Grading
Caustic burned magnesia is divided into three designations of QM-85, QM-80 and QM-75 according to YB/T 5206, and the products are divided into superior product (A), first-class product (B) and qualified product (C) according to the content of active magnesium oxide and the physical and mechanical properties of its formulated magnesium oxychloride cement.
4 Requirements
4.1 Appearance quality
Caustic burned magnesia of the same batch shall have the same color, and no caking by moisture is allowed.
4.2 Chemical composition
They shall meet those specified in Table 1.
