1.0.1 The standard is formulated with review to implement the national technical and economic policies in the structural design of buried premade concrete round pipeline for water supply and sewerage works, and to make the design to be of state-of-art technology, economy and rationality, safety and usability, and quality guarantee.
1.0.2 The standard is applicable to the structural designs of buried premade non-pressure concrete or inner pressure concrete fluting construction or by-hand advance non-fluting construction for water supply and sewerage works in city, town, public utilities and industrial enterprises; it is not applicable to the structural design of water supply and sewerage works with special purposes in industrial enterprises.
1.0.3 This standard is formulated according to the principle specified in the current national standard "Code for Structural Design of Pipelines for Water Supply and Sewerage Work" GB 50332.
1.0.4 As for buried premade concrete round pipeline for water supply and sewerage works built in the regions with special conditions like seismic region , collapsible loess or swelling soil, and permanently frozen soil, the structural design hereof shall meet the provisions in the relative current national standards, besides this standard.
1.0.5 If the project is designed according to this standard, the member section Calculation and the foundation design shall meet the provisions in "Code for Design of Concrete Structures" GB 50010 and "Code for Design of Building Foundation" GB 50007.
