本标准规定了双面埋弧螺旋焊管机组（以下简称机组）的术语和定义、结构、参数、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、贮存和安全使用说明书等。
本标准适用于将低碳碳素结构钢或低合金结构钢钢带按一定的螺旋线的角度（叫成型角）卷成管坯，然后将管缝焊接起来相同工艺的设备机组的设计生产。
