带电显示装置用于向运行人员提供高压电气设备被检测处主回路电压状态的信息，本标准适用于电压3kV及以上，频率为50Hz的电力系统中运行的户内和户外高压电气设备所使用的带电显示装置。 具体内容有：范围、规范性引用文件、使用条件、定义、额定值、设计和结构、型式试验、出厂试验、带电显示装置的选用导则、查询、投标和订货时应提供的资料、使用说明和安全。 本标准自实施之日起代替DL/T538-1993。 本标准于2006年5月6日发布，2006年10月1日实施。
