本试验方法适用于火力发电厂新建或改建的空冷塔和空冷凝汽器的冷却能力的考核试验及性能试验;适用于空冷塔、空冷凝汽器所采用的空冷散热器〔元件，下同)试验室选型试验及热力阻力性能试验。
本试验方法原则上也适用于投运多年的空冷塔和空冷凝汽器的性能试验。
