本标准规定了水利电力建设用起重机的技术要求、标志、包装、运输和存放、安装与拆卸、型式试验、出场试验、工程验收、使用与管理、搬迁、报废、保证期等。
本标准适应水利电力建设用的门式、门座式、塔式、缆索起重机。不适用于汽车式、轮胎式、履带式及浮式起重机，对于其余类型的起重即可参照笨标准执行。
