3 Technical requirements
3.1 Inherent quality
3.1.1 Technical requirements of basic items
Inherent quality items are classified into basic items and optional items, and the technical requirements of basic items shall meet those specified in Table 1.
Table 1 Technical requirements of basic items
Item Specification /(g/m2)
10 15 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 120 150
Width deviation /mm -1~+3
Mass deviation rate per unit area /% ±8 ±7 ±5 ±4
Coefficient of mass variation per unit area /% ≤7 ≤6
Tensile strength /N Transverse ≥2 ≥6 ≥10
Longitudinal ≥4 ≥9 ≥15
Transverse and longitudinal elongation /% ≥20
Notes:
1 Specification is expressed by mass per unit area. When the marked specification is between the adjacent two specifications in the table, the appropriate assessment indicator of tensile strength are calculated by interpolation method. Products out of the specification range shall be implemented according to the contract.
2 Calculation equation of interpolation method: , where X is mass per unit area and Y is tensile strength.
3.1.2 Technical requirements of optional items
The optional items for air filtration materials include thickness, filtration efficiency, air permeability, flame retardance and restricted (prohibited) substance; the optional items for thermal insulation materials include thermal resistance and air permeability; the optional items for oil absorption materials include oil absorption time and oil absorption amount. The standard values of optional items are stipulated by the supply and demand contract.
3.2 Appearance quality
The appearance quality shall meet those specified in Table 2.
Table 2 Appearance quality requirements
Item Requirements
Color difference of the same batch /Grade 4~5
Broken hole Not permissible
Pinhole Invisible ≤10 pcs /100cm2
Visible Not permissible
Crystal point Area<1mm2 ≤10 pcs /100cm2
Area≥1mm2 Not permissible
Flying a Not permissible
Foreign matters Not permissible
a Only the meltblown nonwoven fabric used for civil masks are assessed.
Notes:
1 Crystal point refers to the point-like polymer particles on the cloth surface.
2 Flying refer to the fiber blocks or fiber strips formed by solidified flying flocs/flying cottons on the cloth surface with a convex feeling.
4 Test method
