GB 10068.1-1988 Measurement evaluation and limits of the vibration severity of rotating electrical machinery - Measurement of mechanical vibration (English Version)
Measurement evaluation and limits of the vibration severity of rotating electrical machinery - Measurement of mechanical vibration
1 Subject content and application scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the accuracy of measuring instruments, the operating state of test products during installation and measurement, the configuration of measuring points, measurement procedures and test reports when measuring the vibration severity of the electrical machinery.
This standard is applicable to single horizontally-installed electrical machinery with shaft center height of 45~630mm and speed of 600~3,600r/min, and with shaft center height greater than 630mm and speed of 150~3,600r/min. This standard may be used as a reference for vertically-installed electrical machinery, and specific requirements shall be specified in the standards of the electrical machinery.
Note: The center height of horizontal motor with foot (IMB3) on the same bedplate is taken as that of footless electrical machinery, upper electrical machinery or any vertical electrical machinery.

GB 2298 Mechanical vibration and shock - Terminology
3 Measured value
For electrical machinery with the speed of 600~3,600r/min, the vibration speed (r.m.s., in mm/s) is adopted in steady-state operation; for electrical machinery with the speed less than 600r/min, the displacement amplitude (double amplitude, in mm) is adopted.
4 Measuring instruments
4.1 Verification of instruments
The instruments shall be periodically verified by the national metrological department, and the verification scope shall cover each unit of the measuring system (sensor, vibration measuring instrument, etc.).
4.2 Requirements for instruments
a. The frequency response range of the instruments shall be 10~1,000Hz (or 10~15,000Hz), within which the relative sensitivity shall be based on the relative sensitivity of 80Hz, and that of other frequencies shall be within +10%~-20% of the reference sensitivity, and the measurement error shall not exceed ±10%;
b. For electrical machinery with the speed less than 600r/min, the vibration shall be measured with low-frequency sensor and low-frequency vibration measuring instrument, with an error not exceeding ±10%.
5 Installation requirements for electrical machinery
5.1 Elastic installation
For electrical machinery with shaft center height less than or equal to 400mm, elastic installation shall be adopted for measurement of vibration.
5.1.1 For electrical machinery with shaft center height less than or equal to 250mm, the stretching amount of the elastic suspension system or the compression amount of the elastic support system, , shall meet the requirements of the following equation:
