This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB 12021.9-2008 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades of AC electric fans. In addition to main structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB 12021.9-2008:
a) DC motor-driven electric fans are added (see Clause 1);
b) The normative references are adjusted: GB/T 35758-2017 and QB/T 5262-2018 are added, GB/T 2828.1 and GB/T 2829 are deleted (see Clause 2 hereof; Clause 2 of Edition 2008);
c) The terms and definitions of the original standard "minimum allowable values of energy efficiency of AC electric fans" and "energy efficiency evaluation value of AC electric fans" are deleted (see 3.1 and 3.2 of Edition 2008);
d) The terms and definitions of "energy efficiency for electric fans", "minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for electric fans", "standby power" and "wind gathering fans" have been added (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4);
e) The "basic requirements" and "energy saving evaluation value" in Clause 4 of the original standard are deleted (see 4.1 and 4.4 of Edition 2008);
f) The energy efficiency value of each grade is changed (see Table 1 hereof; Table 1 of Edition 2008), the standby power requirements for each grade are added (see Table 2), and the energy efficiency calculation methods for electric fans are added (see 6.2);
g) The “inspection rules” in the original standard is deleted (see Clause 6 of Edition 2008);
h) Normative annex - "Judgment of wind gathering fans” is added (see Annex A).
Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for electric fans
1 Scope
This document specifies the energy efficiency grades, technical requirements, test methods and energy efficiency calculation methods.
This document is applicable to table fans, louver fans, wall fans, floor fans, pedestal fans and ceiling fans which are driven by AC or DC motors with single-phase rated voltage not more than 250V and other rated voltages not more than 480V.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute indispensable provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 13380-2018 A.C. electric fans and regulators
GB/T 35758-2017 Household electrical appliances - Measurement of standby power
QB/T 5262-2018 D.C. electric fans
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 13380-2018, GB/T 35758-2017 and QB/T 5262-2018 as well as the following apply.
3.1
energy efficiency for electric fans
ratio of output air volume to input power of electric fans
3.2
minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for electric fans
minimum allowable energy efficiency value of electric fans under the test conditions specified in the standard, on the premise of meeting the requirements of standby power
3.3
standby power
power of the electric fan when it is powered on and in a waiting state (the motor is not working)
3.4
wind gathering fans
table fans, wall fans, floor fans and pedestal fans with the ratio of inner ring air volume to outer ring air volume not less than 0.9
4 Energy efficiency grades
The energy efficiency for electric fans is classified into three grades, among which Grade 1 is the highest. The energy efficiency value of products of each specification shall meet the requirements of Table 1, and their standby power (if applicable) shall meet the requirements of Table 2.
