本标准规定了旋转电机装入式热保护器的要求。本标准适用于额定电压为660V及以下，额定功率为11kW及以下符合GB755各项规定的旋转电机所使用的热保护器。本标准也适用于按电机制造厂与用户专门协议规定的其他定额的电机。本标准不适用于热保护系统动作时切断电机开关装置控制回路的热检测器。对家用电器或在爆炸性环境中使用的电机设备，可按特殊使用需要增加相应的附加要求。
