1 Scope This standard specifies the relevant requirements for correctly selecting, installing and using residual current operated protective devices (hereinafter referred as residual current protective device, RCD for short) and its operation and management. This standard is applicable to power supply and consumption system of power supply neutral-point direct grounding, with AC 50 Hz or 60 Hz operating voltage and rated voltage less than or equal to 230/400 (220/ 380)V. This standard is not applicable to protect phase-phase or phase-N line electric shock accident, electrical equipment damage or electric fire accident. 2 Normative References The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent modification to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of these documents is applicable.
