本标准适用于设计车速大于25k m/h的M2,M 3,N ：和N：类及总质量大于35 00k g的M：类机动车装用的点燃式发动机及装用点燃式发动机汽车。其中车用汽油发动机排气污染物的排放限值及测量方法按本标准规定执行；车用点燃式G,L PG发动机排气污染物的排放限值按本标准规定执行，测量方法按GB 17691《车用压燃式发动机排气污染物排放限值及测量方法》的相关规定执行。
