1 Scope
This standard specifies terms, general requirements, special requirements and inspection methods of external projections for vehicle body in front of rear panel in the cab of commercial vehicles.
This standard is applicable to N motor vehicle, but not applicable to exterior rearview mirror of motor vehicle and its connecting pieces, aerial and luggage rack.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
external surface
the outside of the vehicle body in front of rear panel in the cab defined in 3.3 of this standard, excluding the rear panel itself, but including wheel fender, front bumper and front wheel, etc.
3.2
cab
the vehicle body constituting the driver and passenger compartment, including the vehicle door
