The previous editions of this document are as follows:
——The first edition was issued in 2008 as GB 22757-2008.
——The first revision in 2017 included the off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles into the application scope of the label, and was issued in several parts, i.e., Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles and Part 2: For off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles.
——This is the second revision.
Introduction
The energy consumption label of light-duty vehicles is direct to consumers and provides consumers with information about automobile energy consumption, which is of great significance for guiding consumers to buy energy-efficient vehicles and transforming vehicle ownership structure to high-efficiency energy-efficient vehicles, and is an important link in automobile energy-efficient management all over the world. GB 22757 Fuel consumption label for light vehicle aims to establish the content, format, material and pasting requirements of the label, which is proposed to consist of three parts,
——Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles. The purpose is to establish energy consumption labels applicable to vehicles of Categories M1, M2 and N1, which are capable of fueling gasoline or diesel fuels and have a maximum design total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg.
——Part 2: For off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles. The purpose is to establish the energy consumption labels applicable to off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles of Categories M1, M2 and N1, with a maximum design total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg.
——Part 3: For single fuel vehicles other than gasoline and diesel vehicles. The purpose is to establish energy consumption labels applicable to single fuel vehicles other than gasoline and diesel vehicles.
As vehicles of different energy types need to show different information to consumers, different documents are compiled according to the energy types of applicable vehicles, which complement each other and constitute the energy consumption label standard system of light vehicles in China. In the future, vehicles with more energy types will be incorporated as appropriate according to the industrial development to perfect the energy consumption label standard system of light vehicles in China.
