本标准规定了普通照明用发光二极管（ＬＥＤ）模块的一般要求和安全要求：
———在恒定电压、恒定电流或恒定功率下工作的不带整体式控制装置的ＬＥＤ 模块；
———采用２５０Ｖ 以下直流或１０００Ｖ 以下５０Ｈｚ或６０Ｈｚ交流电源的自镇流ＬＥＤ 模块。
