3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following term and definition apply.
3.1
Transverse plane
The vertical plane vertical to the longitudinal centreplane of vehicles.
3.2
Longitudinal plane
The plane parallel to the longitudinal centreplane of vehicles.
3.3
Cab-over engine vehicle
Vehicles that at least half of the engine is located behind the foremost point in lower edge of the windscreen and the steering wheel is located within one quarter before the full length of vehicles.
3.4
Three-dimensional H-point machine
The machine used for the determination of actual H-point and actual torso angle for vehicles.
3.5
H-point
The rotation center of the torso and the thign of the three-dimensional H-point machine that imitates the hinged connection center of the torso and thigh of human body for the determination of the actual H-point.
Note: H-point is located in the central plane of H-point machine, at the midpoint of the connecting line of H-point designation buttons in both sides of the machine.
3.5.1
Seating reference point
R-point
SgRP SgRP
Design H-point
Design H-point position set by the manufacturer and R-point or SgRP are particularly designated and the point is:
a) The basic reference point used to establish the adjustors and the size for occupants;
b) The position to simulate the hinge center of human torso and thign;
c) Coordinates established with respect to the structure of the designed vehicle.
d) The most rearward H-point position established for the normal driving or seating of each designated seating position in consideration of all the adjusted states of seats, including horizontal, vertical and inclined states, but excluding the seat movement used for abnormal driving or seating.
