1 Scope
This standard specifies the limits and measurement methods for weighted specific fuel consumption and specific oil consumption of non-road diesel engine.
This standard is applicable to non-road diesel engine (hereinafter referred to as diesel engine) with rated power no more than 560kW for land use (except for road vehicle, three-wheeled automobile and low-speed truck), marine purpose, agricultural and forestry tractors and agricultural machinery, construction machinery, generator sets and water pump sets, etc. The fuel used is light diesel oil excluding marine diesel engines that burn heavy oil.
Note: The standards or regulations for limits for specific fuel consumption in importing country or area is applicable to exported diesel engines.
