1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test apparatus, specimen, conditioning, test procedure, post-test inspection, judgment of test result and test report, etc. of the fire-resistant performance test for external wall insulation system applied to building facade.
This standard is applicable to the fire-resistant performance test for non-load bearing external wall insulation system installed on the building facade.
This standard is not applicable to the fire-resistant performance test for external wall insulation system of respiration glass curtain wall structure installed on the building facade.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions given in GB/T 5907 and the following apply.
3.1
external wall insulation systems applied to building facade
a complete structure system having certain insulation performance and composed of various materials installed (in the specified construction mode) on the external surface of building facade
3.2
level 1
the level at a height of 2,500mm above the opening top of combustion chamber in test apparatus
3.3
level 2
the level at a height of 5,000mm above the opening top of combustion chamber in test apparatus
3.4
initial temperature
T0
the average temperature of external thermocouples on level 1 when ignition begins
3.5
sustained visible flaming
sustained visible flaming with duration exceeding 60s observed during the test
Note: excluding smoldering time.
3.6
burning debris
the sample debris which falls off the specimen and has sustained visible flaming (3.5) throughout the test
4 Test Apparatus
4.1 General
The test apparatus for fire-resistant performance of external wall insulation systems applied to building facade (hereafter referred to as "external wall insulation system") is generally composed of wall, combustion chamber, heat source, collapsed area, measurement system, etc.
The test apparatus shall be erected in a building with certain space, and the size of indoor space of this building shall meet the requirements of test apparatus erection, specimen installation construction, test operation, etc., and shall also ensure free burning of heat source and specimen used for the test during the test (burning behavior is controlled by fuel instead of ventilation).
The test apparatus shall be durable and shall be free from deformation or damage affecting the test result in the test process.
