Rules for classification and labelling of chemicals — Part 4: Aerosols 1 Scope This part of GB 30000 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, judgment logic and guidance and labelling of aerosols. This part is applicable to the classification and labelling of aerosols according to the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (hereinafter referred to as GHS). 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. GB 6944-2012 Classification and code of dangerous goods GB 13690 General rule for classification and hazard communication of chemicals GB 30000.3 GB 30000.7 GB 30000.8 Rules for classification and labelling of chemicals — Part 3: Flammable gases Rules for classification and labelling of chemicals — Part 7: Flammable liquids Rules for classification and labelling of chemicals — Part 8: Flammable solids The United Nations Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (Rev.4) The United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods: Model Regulations (Rev.17) United Nations Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods: Manual of Tests and Criteria (Rev.5) 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 13690 and the following apply. 3.1 aerosols suspended solid or liquid particles or foam, paste or powder in the gas or in the form of liquid or gas ejected from a nebulizer (any non-refillable container made of metal, glass or plastic) containing compressed, liquefied or pressurized dissolved gas (with or without liquid, paste or powder) and equipped with a release gear for ejecting the contents. 4 Classification standards 4.1 See GB 13690 for general principles of classification and labelling of aerosol. 4.2 If the aerosol contains any component classified as flammable according to GHS, the aerosol shall be classified as flammable, namely: (1) Flammable liquids, see GB 30000.7; (2) Flammable gases, see GB 30000.3; (3) Flammable solids, see GB 30000.8.
