1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, basic requirements, electric shock hazard protection, input power, leakage current and electrical strength at working temperature, water and moisture resistance, heating and abnormal working, structure, external and internal wiring, grounding device, electric clearance and creepage distance, heat and flame resistance, lightning protection, mechanical safety protection, and marking and description for the electrical parts of sporting goods (hereinafter referred to as “equipment”).
This standard is applicable to the safety of the sports equipment with single-phase rated voltage not exceeding 250V and other rated voltages not exceeding 480V.
This standard is not applicable to the electrical parts of medical rehabilitation equipment, vessel, aerial vehicle, automobiles and motorcycles, model airplane and car model equipment.
