Luminaires and electrical supply track systems for luminaires - Safety requirements
1 Scope
This document specifies the safety-related requirements for luminaires using electric light sources and electrical supply track systems for luminaires.
It is applicable to portable luminaires with a supply voltage not exceeding 250V and mains socket-outlet mounted nightlights, as well as luminaires and electrical supply track systems for luminaires with a supply voltage not exceeding 1 000V.
It is not applicable to emergency lighting luminaires.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 7000.1, GB 7000.4, GB/T 7000.201, GB/T 7000.202, GB 7000.203, GB/T 7000.204, GB/T 7000.205, GB/T 7000.208, GB/T 7000.211, GB/T 7000.212, GB/T 7000.213, GB 7000.214, GB/T 7000.218, GB/T 7000.220, GB/T 7000.221, GB/T 7000.223, GB/T 7000.224, GB 7000.225 and GB/T 13961, as well as the following, apply.

Note 1: Class I and class II luminaires can be used with class I track systems/blocks, but class III luminaires can only be used with class III track systems/blocks.
Note 2: The track-mounted luminaire has function of control interface.

4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
The design and structure of luminaire and electrical supply track systems for luminaires shall ensure that the luminaire can work safely in normal use without hazard to people or the surrounding environment.
In addition to the requirements of GB (GB/T) 3836 (all parts), the explosion-proof luminaires covered in GB (GB/T) 3836 (all parts) shall also meet the requirements of this document. In case of any contradiction between this document and GB (GB/T) 3836 (all parts), the provisions of GB (GB/T) 3836 (all parts) shall prevail.
4.2 Marking and instruction manual
4.2.1 Luminaire
4.2.1.1 The marks to be seen when replacing light sources or other replaceable components, during installation, and after installation shall be clearly and persistently marked on the luminaire.
4.2.1.2 In addition to the marks specified in 4.2.1.1, the necessary detailed instructions to ensure proper installation, use and maintenance shall be shown on the luminaire or in the manufacturer's instruction manual supplied with the luminaire.
4.2.2 Electrical supply track systems for luminaires
4.2.2.1 The marks to be seen during and/or after installation of electrical supply track systems for luminaires shall be clearly and persistently marked on the electrical supply track systems for luminaires.
4.2.2.2 In addition to the marks specified in 4.2.2.1, the necessary information for proper use and maintenance shall be shown on the electrical supply track systems for luminaires or in the manufacturer's instruction manual supplied with the electrical supply track systems for luminaires.
4.3 Structure
4.3.1 Mechanical hazards
The adequate space shall be reserved to replace the replaceable parts or components safely and easily. Sharp points or edges that could pose a danger to the user during installation, normal use or maintenance are prohibited.

1 Scope
This document specifies the safety-related requirements for luminaires using electric light sources and electrical supply track systems for luminaires.
It is applicable to portable luminaires with a supply voltage not exceeding 250V and mains socket-outlet mounted nightlights, as well as luminaires and electrical supply track systems for luminaires with a supply voltage not exceeding 1 000V.

4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
The design and structure of luminaire and electrical supply track systems for luminaires shall ensure that the luminaire can work safely in normal use without hazard to people or the surrounding environment.

4.2 Marking and instruction manual
4.2.1 Luminaire
4.2.1.1 The marks to be seen when replacing light sources or other replaceable components, during installation, and after installation shall be clearly and persistently marked on the luminaire.
4.2.1.2 In addition to the marks specified in 4.2.1.1, the necessary detailed instructions to ensure proper installation, use and maintenance shall be shown on the luminaire or in the manufacturer's instruction manual supplied with the luminaire.
4.2.2 Electrical supply track systems for luminaires
4.2.2.1 The marks to be seen during and/or after installation of electrical supply track systems for luminaires shall be clearly and persistently marked on the electrical supply track systems for luminaires.
4.2.2.2 In addition to the marks specified in 4.2.2.1, the necessary information for proper use and maintenance shall be shown on the electrical supply track systems for luminaires or in the manufacturer's instruction manual supplied with the electrical supply track systems for luminaires.
4.3 Structure
4.3.1 Mechanical hazards
