1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions related to stationary training equipment for indoor use, specifies product classification, requirements, marking and instruction requirements, and describes the test methods.
This document applies to stationary training equipment (hereinafter referred to as "equipment") intended for indoor use by persons aged 14 years and above.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 17498.1, GB/T 17498.2, GB/T 17498.4, GB/T 17498.5, GB/T 17498.6, GB/T 17498.7, GB/T 17498.8, GB/T 17498.9 and GB/T 17498.10 apply.
4 Classification
According to the intended use, the equipment is classified as follows:
Class S: Professional or commercial use.
Class H: Household use.
Class I: Professional or commercial use, also suitable for use by persons with special needs (e.g., visual, hearing, physical or intellectual disabilities).
5 Requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
Stationary training equipment for indoor use shall comply with the requirements of 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6. In addition, different types of stationary training equipment for indoor use shall also comply with the corresponding standards listed in Table A.1 of Annex A.
5.2 Structural and mechanical safety
5.2.1 Stability
The equipment shall remain stable during normal use and shall not tip over.
5.2.2 Sharp corners and edges
The sharp corners and edges of the equipment shall not cause injury to the user. All edges within hand or foot reachable areas shall be rounded or protected.
5.2.3 Tube ends
Exposed tube ends within hand or foot reachable areas shall be closed or capped.
5.2.4 Drawin (pinch) points
The equipment shall prevent entrapment during use.
5.2.5 Cords, straps, chains and their attachments
Cords, straps, chains and their attachments shall withstand a tensile force equivalent to six times the maximum load that may be generated during use.
5.2.6 User release
The user shall be able to exit the equipment normally when using it in accordance with the instruction manual.
5.2.7 Crush and shear points
6 Test methods
6.1 Structural and mechanical safety
Tests shall be carried out in accordance with the standards corresponding to the different types of indoor equipment as listed in Annex A.
6.2 Electrical safety
Tests shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB 44246.
6.3 Limits of hazardous substances
6.3.1 Lead and cadmium content
The determination of lead and cadmium content shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 39560.301 and GB/T 39560.5.
