1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated in order to make the biosafety laboratory meet the general requirements of laboratory biosafety protection in the aspects of design, construction and acceptance as well as actually follow the building technology principles of physical isolation.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design, construction and acceptance of constructed, extended and renovated biosafety laboratory used by microbiology, biomedicine, animal experiment, gene recombination and biological products.
1.0.3 Construction of biosafety laboratory shall center on the biosafety, ensure the safety of the experiment personnel and the laboratory surrounding environment, as well as meet the requirements of experimental objects to the environment. Architecturally speaking, practical and economical principles shall be adopted. Equipments and materials used for the biosafety laboratory must be possessed of eligible quality certificates and inspection reports, and within the validity period. Newly-developed products and technologies shall be possessed of conformity certificates or test certificate documents.
1.0.4 As for the construction of biosafety laboratory, not only the requirements stipulated in this code, but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation shall be complied with.
