2 Basic Requirements
2.1 General Requirements
2.1.1 The engineering construction of electrical construction installation in metallurgy shall be provided with corresponding technical standard for construction, complete quality management system, construction quality inspection system and evaluation & rating system for the comprehensive construction quality level. Inspection and record may be conducted according to the requirements of Table A.0.1 in Appendix A of this Code.
1 Installation electrician, welder, hoist slinger and electrical commissioning personnel etc. shall take their posts with certificates according to the relevant requirements.
2 Various measuring instruments for installation and commissioning shall be qualified in the calibration, and shall be within the validity period of calibration in service.
2.1.2 The engineering construction of electrical construction installation in metallurgy shall be organized according to construction organization design and construction scheme and construction technical scheme shall be prepared for complicated and critical installation and test work. Technical disclosure shall be conducted to the constructors before construction.
2.1.3 The electrical equipment, appliance and materials with the rated voltage AC of 1kV or below and the DC of 1.5kV or below are low voltage ones; those with the rated voltage greater than AC 1kV and DC 1.5kV are high-voltage ones.
2.1.4 The measuring instrument on the electrical equipment and the instrument related to electric protection shall be qualified in the calibration and shall be within the validity period where put into test run.
2.1.5 The hand-over test of electrical installation in metallurgy shall meet those specified in the current national standard "Standard for Hand-over Test of Electric Equipment Installation Project" (GB 50150).
2.1.6 All the equipment and materials applied in the project shall meet the requirements of the current national standard and be provided with certificates. The equipment shall be provided with nameplate. The new equipment and new materials without a standard shall be provided with certificate documents obtained for admission according to legal procedures. The equipment and materials introduced overseas shall meet the contract provisions.
2.1.7 Engineering construction of electrical construction installation in metallurgy shall meet the requirements of the design document and this Code as well as those of the installation and operating instructions. The modification to the design must be confirmed in the document of the original designer.
2.1.8 The electrical line laying and electrical construction installation in explosive-risk places are only applicable to the electrical installation project in the physical environment where gaseous, vaporous, dust and fiber explosive mixture and fire hazard appear or possibly appear in the process of production, processing, treatment, transportation or storage within the metallurgical plant. They are not applicable to subterranean part of underground mine or the environment where such explosive substances as gunpowder, explosive and initiating explosive are applied and stored.
2.1.9 Electrical equipment installation in fire hazard places is only applicable to the electrical installation engineering in the physical environment where fire hazard appear or possibly appears in the process of production, processing, treatment, transportation or storage within range of the metallurgical plant.
