1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is prepared for the purpose of ensuring advanced technology of design, economic feasibility and safety and usability of aircraft paint hangar, and meeting the requirements of occupational health and safety, environmental protection and energy conservation and emission reduction.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of newly-built, extended and rebuilt aircraft paint hangar.
1.0.3 The design of aircraft paint hangar shall comply with the requirements stipulated in this code and with those stipulated in the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terms
2.0.1
aircraft paint hangar
the building used for painting and de-painting aircraft complete machine or major components such as wing, vertical tail plane, tail plane and body section
2.0.2
aircraft paint area
the area in aircraft paint hangar, which is used for de-painting and painting of aircraft complete machine or major component
2.0.3
working area
the area for carrying out preparation, cleaning, polishing, de-painting, painting and drying of aircraft or major components along the shape of aircraft complete machine or major component with certain safety production distance considered
2.0.4
production auxiliary room
the room outside the aircraft paint area, which is used to meet the painting production requirements
2.0.5
unfueled aircraft
the aircraft with aviation fuel quantity less than 0.5% of total capacity of fuel tank and pipeline
2.0.6
air supply system for mask
the compressed air system used for respirator
3 Classification for Aircraft Paint Hangars and Explosion Hazard Zones
3.0.1 Aircraft paint hangar may be classified into Classes I, II and III, and the allowable maximum building area of aircraft paint area in various aircraft paint hangars shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 3.1.1.

3 Classification for Aircraft Paint Hangars and Explosion Hazard Zones
