1 General Provisions 1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to improve the quality,and to unify the quality acceptance standards,of the reheating furnaces in iron and steel works,and to make sure that these furnaces to achieve the required performance. 1.0.2 This code is applicable to the construction,extension and renovation of certain types of reheating furnaces in iron and steel works such as pusher type,walking beam type,walking hearth type,rotary hearth type and bottom car type,etc. 1.0.3 The quality acceptance of the reheating furnaces in iron and steel works shall comply with the requirements stipulated in this code,and shall also comply with relevant codes and standards of the nation. 2 Terms 2.0.1 reheating furnace furnace used to heat blooms or billets before hot working in the steel rolling and/or pipe rolling shops of iron and steel works. 2.0.2 burner device used to provide heat for the reheating furnace by the means of safely and stably burning a mixture,at a proper proportion,of fuel and combustion promoter. 2.0.3 regenerative burner burner in which the regenerator,used as a medium to transfer heat,is heated by the hot flue gas in the heat storage period and then,in the heat release period,releases heat to preheat the combustion air/gas to a certain temperature,and transfers the heat of the flue gas to the combustion air/gas and makes it burning. 2.0.4 recuperator device used to preheat,in a non-contact way,the air/gas with the waste heat of the flue gas. 2.0.5 expansion gap thermal expansion gap in the refractory construction reserved during furnace lining. 2.0.6 partition appliance device which,when the gas piping system is in a closed or blocked state and without any abnormal situations,bears the pressure of medium within the design range and prevents the gas from leaking to the isolated area. 2.0.7 evaporative cooling device device which,utilizing the property of water,that is,absorbing heat during evaporation,take away the heat of the support skid or other equipment in the furnace and maintain the temperature of such beam or equipment in certain range and,at the same time,send the steam out. 2.0.8 pressure test the test in which gas or liquid is used as the medium to gradually exert on the pipe a pressure to the specified value to inspect the strength or tightness of the pipe or equipment. 3 Basic Requirements 3.0.1 The quality acceptance of reheating furnace should be divided into 5 separate items,namely,furnace non-standard equipment,steel structure,refractory construction,piping system and electric automation system,and should be conducted respectively. 3.0.2 The construction drawings of reheating furnace and relevant design documents are important basis of the quality acceptance.The construction material,equipment model,dimension,dimensional tolerance,geometrical tolerance,machining and welding requirements shall meet the requirements in the construction drawings. 3.0.3 The mechanical equipment,pipe accessories and materials of furnace shall,before delivery,have certification and meet the design requirements.The factory inspection shall be conducted for crucial mechanical equipment,pipe accessories and materials of furnace. 3.0.4 The painting and packaging of the mechanical equipment and materials of furnace shall comply with the requirements in current professional standards YB/T 036.19 General Specifications for Manufacture of Metallurgical Equipment-Painting and YB/T 036.21 General Specifications for Manufacture of Metallurgical Equipment-Packaging. 3.0.5 Composition and performance report shall be provided for the heat resistant steel,which is used for heat resistant casting.Acceptance of heat resistant casting shall comply with the requirements in current professional standards YB/T 036.2 General Specifications for Manufacture of Metallurgical Equipment-Iron Castings and YB/T 036.3 General Specifications for Manufacture of Metallurgical Equipment-Steel Castings.The appearance of the heat resistant casting shall be even,flat and free of obvious casting defects. 3.0.6 Acceptance of steel forging shall meet the requirements in current professional standard YB/T 036.7 General Specifications for Manufacture of Metallurgical Equipment-Steel Forgings. 3.0.7 The steel plate,steel pipe,round steel and section steel of reheating furnace shall be provided with material quality certificate,and the surface rust grade shall not be lower than Grade B as stipulated in current national standard GB/T 8923.1-2011 Preparation of Steel Substrates before Application of Paints and Related Products-Visual Assessment of Surface Cleanliness-Part 1:Rust Grades and Preparation Grades of Uncoated Steel Substrates and of Steel Substrates after Overall Removal of Previous Coatings. 3.0.8 Acceptance shall be conducted of the foundation of reheating furnace before installation of the mechanical equipment and steel structures of furnace;external dimensions and tolerance of the foundation shall comply with the requirements in civil construction drawings and current national standard GB50204 Code for Acceptance of Constructional Quality of Concrete Structures.The foundation,anchor bolts and backing plates of reheating furnace shall comply with the requirements in current national standard GB50386 Code for Acceptance of Engineering Installation for Mechanical Equipment of RollingMill. 3.0.9 Permanent marking shall be left on the foundation for reference line,reference point and reference elevation of reheating furnace. 3.0.10 Construction and acceptance of stack shall meet the requirements in current national standard GB50078 Code for Construction and Acceptance of ChimneyWorks. 3.0.11 Anyone who performs welding operation shall be trained or pass the examination and get the qualification,and shall conduct welding on the qualified items and within the approved professional scope. 4 Furnace Non-standard Equipment 4.1 General Requirements 4.1.1 The mechanical equipment of furnace shall be manufactured and installed according to the requirements in the design and technical documents.Any modification,if necessary,shall be conducted after relevant design alteration is approved. 4.1.2 The mechanical equipment of furnace shall,before delivery,have certification. 4.1.3 The mechanical equipment of furnace shall have the complete set of installation quality records and the documents. 5 Steel Structure 5.1 General Requirements 5.1.1 Quality acceptance of steel structure shall be conducted after the installation of the whole or the part with spatial rigid unit of one branch work is finished. 5.1.2 The quality acceptance records of the subdivisional work of steel structure shall meet the requirements in current national standard GB50205 Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of SteelStructures.

Introduction of GB 50825-2013
1 General Provisions 1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to improve the quality,and to unify the quality acceptance standards,of the reheating furnaces in iron and steel works,and to make sure as pusher type,walking beam type,walking hearth type,rotary hearth type and bottom car type,etc. 1.0.3 The quality acceptance of the reheating furnaces in iron and steel works shall comply with the requirements stipulated in this code,and shall also comply with relevant codes and standards of the nation. 2 Terms 2.0.1 reheating furnace furnace used to heat blooms or billets before hot working in the steel rolling and/or pipe rolling shops of iron and steel works. 2.0.2 burner device used to provide heat for the reheating furnace by the means of safely and stably burning a mixture,at a proper proportion,of fuel and combustion promoter. 2.0.3 regenerative burner burner in which the regenerator,used as a medium to transfer heat,is heated by the hot flue gas in the heat storage period and then,in the heat release period,releases heat to preheat the combustion air/gas to a certain temperature,and transfers the heat of the flue gas to the combustion air/gas and makes it burning. 2.0.4 recuperator device used to preheat,in a non-contact way,the air/gas with the waste heat of the flue gas. 2.0.5 expansion gap thermal expansion gap in the refractory construction reserved during furnace lining. 2.0.6 partition appliance device which,when the gas piping system is in a closed or blocked state and without any abnormal situations,bears the pressure of medium within the design which gas or liquid is used as the medium to gradually exert on the pipe a pressure to the specified value to inspect the strength or tightness of the pipe or equipment. 3 Basic Requirements 3.0.1 The quality acceptance of reheating furnace should be divided into 5 separate items,namely,furnace non-standard equipment,steel structure,refractory construction,piping system and electric automation system,and should be conducted respectively. 3.0.2 The construction drawings of reheating furnace and relevant design documents are important basis of the quality acceptance.The construction material,equipment model,dimension,dimensional tolerance,geometrical tolerance,machining and welding requirements shall meet the requirements in the construction drawings. 3.0.3 The mechanical Equipment-Steel Castings.The appearance of the heat resistant casting shall be even,flat and free of obvious casting defects. 3.0.6 Acceptance of steel forging shall meet the requirements in current professional standard YB/T 036.7 General Specifications for Manufacture of Metallurgical Equipment-Steel Forgings. 3.0.7 The steel plate,steel pipe,round steel and section steel of reheating furnace shall be provided with material quality certificate,and the surface rust grade shall not be lower than Grade B as stipulated in current national standard GB/T 8923.1-2011 Preparation of Steel
