1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with view to making the design of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply engineering meet the requirements such as safety production, supply assurance, advanced technology, economic feasibility and environmental protection.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of the constructed, renovated and extended pipeline transmission engineering of LPG in liquid state and the following city LPG supply engineering with storage volume less than or equal 10,000m3:
1 LPG stored stations, stored and delivered stations and filling stations;
2 LPG vaporizing station, LPG-air (other fuel gas) mixing station and vaporizing station of multiple cylinder installations;
3 Bottled LPG delivered station.
1.0.3 This code is not applicable to the design of the following LPG engineering and plants:
1 LPG processing, storage, filling and transportation engineering of refinery, petrochemical plant, oil and gas field and natural gas processing plant;
2 LPG fully refrigerated storage, semi-refrigerated storage, filling and transportation engineering (excluding the fire separation distance between the fully and semi-refrigerated storage tanks and the off-station buildings, structures and storage yards);
3 LPG transportation facilities by sea and inland water;
4 LPG plants used on steamers, railway rolling stock and automobiles;
5 Automobile LPG filling station.
1.0.4 In addition to this code, the design of LPG supply engineering shall also comply with those specified in the current relevant standards of the nation.
