3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this part of GB 5135, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
drencher nozzle
a spray apparatus fixed onto a drencher pipe system, which can spray water continuously to form a curtain to protect the surface under a fire threat as a fire separation
3.2
spray angle
the vertex angle of the fan-shaped water curtain which takes the nozzle head as the vertex when a nozzle sprays
3.3
deflection angle
the angle between inlet axis and outlet axis of a nozzle when it sprays
3.4
maximal cover width
the maximum width of an extended water curtain under the working pressure
4 Classification
4.1 Classification by structure form
4.1.1 Slit drencher nozzle
4.1.1.1 Single-slit drencher nozzle
A drencher nozzle with a single slit on its body, through which water sprays in designed shape.
4.1.1.2 Double-slit drencher nozzle
A drencher nozzle with two slits on its body, through which water sprays in designed shape.
4.1.2 Impulse drencher nozzle
4.1.2.1 Deflector impulse drencher nozzle
A drencher nozzle through which water flows out to impulse the outer guide deflector and sprays in designed shape.
4.1.2.2 Surface impulse drencher nozzle
A drencher nozzle through which the water flows out to impulse the outer guide surface and sprays in designed shape.
