This national standard specifies the general requirements of magnetic particle inspection of steel casting, personnel qualification, equipment and facilities, detection method, quality grade evaluation and/or preparation of flaw detection report.
This national standard is applicable to the examination and quality rating of cast surface and/or near surface flaw of magnetized steel. When the magnetic field intensity is equal to 2.4kA/m, the cast steel in the materials whose magnetic induction is greater than 1T is called magnetized steel.
