GB/T 10789-2015/XG1-2018 General standard for beverage, includes Amendment 1
1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, designation, technical requirements, labeling, declaration, transportation and storage of beverages and identification requirements for consumers of bottled water for drinking.
This standard is applicable to the production, research and development of beverage and also applicable to the setting of the beverage product standard and other relevant standards.
This standard is not applicable to drinking drugs.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 beverage; drinks
Quantitative packaged product for direct drinking or brewed or dissolved with a scale water for drinking, and with a ethanol content (mass fraction) not exceed 0.5%. It may be in beverage syrup or solid state
3.2 beverage syrup
The drinkable products on the basis of food raw materials and/or food additives, which shall be processed and diluted with water to a scale, or added carbon dioxide after diluted
4 Classification

4.1 packaged drinking water
Direct drinkable water, immediate sourced from surface water, groundwater or public water supply system, sealed up in container after processed
4.1.1 natural mineral water
The water that gushes naturally or collected through well drilling from deep underground, contains a certain amount of mineral substances, microelements or other compositions, is not contaminated in a certain area and has been protected against contamination by take preventive measures; generally, its dynamic indexes, such as chemical compositions, discharge and water temperature, are relatively stable within the natural periodical fluctuation range
4.1.2 purified drinking water
The water products that immediate sourced from surface water, groundwater or public water supply system, and made into products after suitable purified and processed
4.1.3 other types drinking water
4.1.3.1 natural spring water
The water products that naturally sourced from spring water which natural gush from underground, or collected from underground spring by drilling, and not processed by public water supply system
4.1.3.2 natural drinking water
The water products that naturally sourced from water well, mountain spring, reservoir, lake or mountain glacier, and not processed by public water supply system
4.1.3.3 other drinking water
Drinking water, except those specified in 4.1.3.1 and 4.1.3.2. For example, the water products that immediate sourced from surface water, groundwater or public water supply system, processed by suitable method and add a certain amount of minerals to change the texture, but free of any sugar or other food ingredients
4.2 fruit/vegetable juices and beverage
Liquid beverage made by processing or fermentation, with the raw materials of fruit/vegetable (include edible roots, stems, leaves, flowers)
4.2.1 fruit/vegetable juice( puree)
