3. Terms
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 13966 and the following apply.
3.1
Quality property
A description of the technical status of the instrument, which generally is composed of function, technical parameter and performance characteristic.
3.2
Technical parameter
A description of the main characteristics of the instrument, such as the measurement object, measurement range, minimum detectable quantity, input quantity, output quantity, etc. of the instrument.
Where quantitative assessment is required for a technical parameter of the instrument, the parameter is the performance characteristic.
3.3
Performance characteristic
A quantitative description of the service performance of the instrument and the quantitative assessment criteria during the instrument inspection and acceptance, e.g. the sensitivity, accuracy, repeatability and stability of the instrument. In the technical standards of the instrument, each performance characteristic shall have its corresponding test method.
3.4
Function
A description of the pathway and mode in which the instrument achieves the required performance characteristic, e.g. the operating software, calibration mode, data processing method, alarm mode and signal transmission form of the instrument.
Where quantitative assessment is required for a function of the instrument, such function is the performance characteristic.
3.5
Product standard
A document used for fixing the product technical state. It is the basis for the manufacture, inspection, and assessment of the product. The object of product standard may be a product or a class of product.
4. Instrument Classification and Model Designation
See JB/T 6241.
5. Requirements
5.1 Working conditions of the instrument
The working conditions of the instrument include the reference working condition, normal working condition and extreme working condition.
The service conditions are as follows:
a) According to the design service conditions of the instrument and by reference to the ambient condition given in Table 1 of GB/T 11606-2007, select all the quantities that will have non-ignorable influence on the instrument quality characteristics, and the reference values or reference ranges as the normal working condition. Where the requirements of GB/T 11606-2007 are not completely met, the difference from the requirements shall be indicated in the document;
b) Where the assessment on some quality characteristics of the instrument needs to exclude the influence of environmental factors, a reference working condition shall be given (see Table 2 of GB/T 11606-2007);
c) Where necessary, an extreme working condition shall be given.
5.2 Appearance
The instrument appearance shall meet the following requirements:
a) The instrument appearance shall be in order and clean, and its surface coating and plating shall be free from obvious stripping, scratch, visible base and stain;
b) All the nameplates and marks shall be durable and clear and their contents shall meet the requirements of relevant laws, regulations and standards;
c) No fasteners shall get loose and all the regulating parts shall be flexible and function normally;
d) The parts surfaces shall not be rusted;
c) The removable parts of the instrument shall be able to be disassembled and assembled without problems.
