1 Scope
This standard specifies the determination for sphericity of ion exchange resins after attrition or osmotic-attrition.
This standard is applicable to the determination for sphericity of various globular ion exchange resins after attrition or osmotic-attrition.

3 Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.

sphericity after osmotic-attrition
the resin is subjected to a osmotic force by treating with acid or alkali of certain concentration, and then is subjected to pressure and friction by attriting with porcelain balls and the resin subjected to the above three kinds of forces is then dried to roll freely and separate, wherein the mass fraction of spherical particles in the sample is the sphericity after osmotic-attrition

after being subjected to pressure and friction by attriting with porcelain balls, the resin is dried to roll freely and separate, wherein the mass fraction of spherical particles in the sample is the sphericity after attrition
